ABOUT

As a photographer, my goal is to create images that go beyond the surface—images that evoke a genuine emotional response in the viewer. Even if they serve as a subtle catalyst for promoting a product or service, I see each photograph as an opportunity to do more. I aim to spark thought, to provoke a moment of pause, and to invite the audience to reflect on deeper subjects.

Emotion is at the heart of my work; it’s the thread that weaves together the stories I wish to tell. One theme that continues to captivate me is the fleeting nature of human existence—the way time erodes, transforms, and ultimately reclaims everything. This impermanence is both fragile and powerful, and it shapes much of what I create. I find my inspiration not only in the world around me, from the ever-evolving tapestry of current events, but also from the deeply personal spaces of my own experience.

Through my lens, I strive to capture that elusive interplay between the transient and the eternal—to distill a moment that speaks to the shared human experience. My art is not just about what you see, but what you feel; it’s about holding onto a fleeting emotion long enough to let it leave a lasting impression.

Orpheus Lustrum Lecture “Focus on Photography”
On September 19, 2024, I had the honor of speaking in front of several hundred people during the anniversary evening of AFV De Veluwe at Theater & Concert Orpheus, where I presented my Fine Art photography. It was a truly special and memorable experience. I received so many wonderful responses, which genuinely moved me. Thank you!

🌟 Exciting news - exhibition in Paris! 🌟
I am honored to announce that my photograph “Guardian” has been selected for the “Corporeality” exhibition in Paris, following an invitation from a curator. The exhibition will take place from November 8–11 at the Bastille Design Center, a remarkable 19th-century space.

“Corporeality” explores diverse representations of the human body, inviting artists from around the world to contribute works that reflect the theme. From full-body depictions to intimate details, the exhibition seeks to highlight the multifaceted ways in which the body is portrayed and understood.

My piece, “Guardian,” captures the unconditional protection between a brother and sister in a tender embrace, symbolizing the strength of familial bonds. This award-winning photograph, recognized by the International Color Awards, speaks to universal themes of safety, connection, and the need for security.

I look forward to seeing how “Guardian” contributes to the exploration of corporeality and deepens the conversation on human connection.
I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity. 🙏
